Zaina Hamarna story

I am Zaina Hamarna

I started playing Qanun at the age of seven; two years after
my father’s passing.
My mom thought it would be good for me to release built-up stress in a healthy way, and
honestly, I can’t imagine my life without “Sadig” my Qanun.
I named it Sadiq, which means friend because I spend more time with it than anyone else.
I built my own world with music, began writing, composing, and playing my own
songs. Alongside drawing, it’s another way to express myself.
For me, music is a dream I share with my mom; but
unfortunately, it is difficult for me to continue this dream here in Gaza.
Even though this place has made me who Iam, it’s also taking this dream away from me.
This is a challenge for me to prove myself, and to show the
world what I’m capable of.
