Taranim Story

“Despite the constant bombing, these dolls brought a feeling of comfort and safety to these children.“

On World Children’s Day, we feel for children in Gaza

Children make up to 47% of the population in Gaza. 80% of these children suffer from depression due to the blockade on Gaza

Taranim AlMadhoun is an art graduate who specializes in woodwork. She makes wooden dolls and designs the dolls’ outfits and accessories. During the last war on Gaza, she noticed the children around her clinging to their dolls. She realized that despite the constant bombing, these dolls brought a feeling of comfort and safety to these scared children

Taranim realized how she could support children in times of crisis and is now constantly working for many hours a day in order to keep producing new dolls. Taranim hopes that her dolls will be the children’s companions in this difficult world
