Saleem amer, 46 years old, Akka

Being born and raised in Akka, which is a 5000 years old city, played a big role in my character. Living in Akka got me into the field of historical architecture and renovation. And that’s why I opened “Al-madrasa, a school” for stone carving and sculpturing. A space for me to bring out the talent from those around me. I teach them stone maintenance and sculpturing and making models out of them. I believe that stone sculpture should be included in the education system.
