Maria Saffouri Story

My name is Maria Saffouri, I am 16 years old, from Haifa. I’m Learning at the Arab Orthodox College, And have been working in a chocolate shop for four years

Like many other Palestinian youth, who are facing the same challenges, I try to combine between my hobbies, studies and work, because everything is not always easy to achieve with the political and social realities that we live in.

In addition to the several subjects that I learn in school, I always try to find time for my artistic and sports hobbies.

I play organ and oud, and currently I’m participating in shows with many bands. Nowadays, I am also Learning belly dance and Dabkeh. Moreover, I played in a rated chess tournaments, and I’m a member of the school netball team.
