Hassan Sawaed

Hassan Sawaed was 22 years old, from Al-Ba’na village in northern occupied Palestine. He was a cheerful young man. He graduated high school with excellent grades and worked alongside his father at Al-Dabah stores. Hassan aspired to study engineering and join the high-tech industry. He was supposed to begin his academic journey in October 2024, but the start of the academic year was delayed due to the war.

“On the early morning of October 24, 2024, Hassan prayed Fajr with his father, followed by the Friday prayer. Later, he went with his friend to a nearby supermarket in Majd Al-Krum . There, he was struck by rocket fragments that killed him, along with a young woman named Arjwan Manaa, and injured dozens of others.”

His father Ali said: “We received the news like a lightning strike. We are in shock and can’t believe it. If we hadn’t seen him dead in front of us, we wouldn’t have believed it. It’s a very tough tragedy.”

The information and quotes were sourced from a message received from his brother, Mohammad Sawa’ed, based on a previous interview with his father and his high school’s page.
