Amir Abu Aisha

Amir Abu Aisha, aged 23, known to all who knew him as “The hero.” He worked as a graphic designer and video editor and was a member of the Scout movement. When the war started, Ameer volunteered as a paramedic with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and never stopped serving displaced and affected people.

Ameer continued documenting and recounting the stories of the war and ongoing events until his final moments, from his experience both as a paramedic and a civilian in the Gaza Strip.

On February 10th, Ameer experienced firsthand the struggles of medical teams, patients, and displaced individuals at Al-Amal Hospital in Khan Yunis. This was after the occupation forces’ raid on the hospital following a 19-day siege, during which they arrested Ameer and many others, subjecting them to 8 hours of torture.

Unfortunately, Ameer didn’t survive the war and won’t be able to tell the story. He was targeted on March 24 by the occupation forces while he was working in the emergency room at Al-Amal Hospital. ِHe was buried in his hometown, Dier Al-Balah.
