Sandra Bali Story
I am Sandra Bali from Hebron, I worked as a nurse in Al-Ahly hospital in Hebron. But I decided to obtain an ambulance driving license. I faced discouragement and criticism because this is a field dominated by men. Women driving ambulances may be normal in other countries, but I wanted to be the first to do it here to open the door for other women. I want to show that any woman is able to achieve what she wants with ambition.
Societal barriers are not the only obstacle I had to face, the Israeli occupation harrases and attacks ambulances. Saving the wounded during clashes has given my job a special meaning. I got my license in the middle of the Corona crisis and it was a surprise to all those around me.
