Since 1985, Muhammad Wafai has been making traditional Palestinian handicrafts.
He began by working with hand printing on cloth and moved on to creating patterns such as the Palestinian Hatta or Tableau.
At 60 years old, he teaches handicrafts to disabled youths in Egypt, where he lives after his family emigrated from Palestine in 1948.
He also organizes exhibitions where he displays women-produced products made at home which included embroidery.
Wafai is currently running a social media project called “Jaffa,” which is the city he is originally from in Palestine.
