Lynn AbdulaLatif – from Safad, Palestine

“I was born in the UAE and lived most of my life in Syria. I always loved drawing. I started drawing people then dressing the characters, and each drawing had something related to Palestine.

Here I discovered that I loved fashion design. When I grew up and had to decide what to study, I went into fashion design. I always knew my graduation project would be related to Palestine in some way.

This intention to preserve our Palestinian identity grew with me since day one.

When the time came for graduation, my project of course had Palestinian prints with a Syrian spirit.

Today, I’m starting my own fashion brand. It’s very important for me to have things that remind us of Palestine on our clothes, so each design I create will have these prints, even if not from the outside, we’ll include olive branches from the inside.”
